10 Things to do This Friday, April 20th

Well as you know this shitty weather is finally starting to turn into spring as the weekend forecast calls for sunny skies and some good ole 50 degree weather.  With that comes all kinds of fun activities that you and your friends could enjoy.  So here are ten things you and your friends could do to enjoy this Friday, the fourth month of the year and it’s twentieth day.

1. Supertroopers 2

Ahhhh yes it has finally happened, via a Kickstarter program we will be getting the much awaited sequel to the comedy classic Suppertroopers.  This fun filled comedy brings back to original cast for a fight against the Canadians as they start to transition a French-Canadian town to a US one.  Who could forget classics like “Snozzberryies”

Or everyone’s favorite, The Meow Game

The sequel better be as good otherwise I’ll be upset.  Prolly won’t be upset all day Friday though tbh.

2.  Order Pizza Hut

On this day it would be critical that you receive the proper nourishment throughout the day.  Pizza Hut is doing 50% off all online ordered pizzas through the weekend!  Some super average pizza to handle all of your hunger needs.  20 bucks gets you three pies for yourself!

3.  Sit in a Circle in a Dimly Lit Room in Deafening Silence Listening to Rap Music

This one is a staple.  Just a great way to bond with your friends trying to see who’s gunna actually rap the “n word” and who’s gunna take the high road and let that lyric be.  Make sure you keep a window open for proper ventilation so you can have fresh air!

4.  Spend an Hour Trying to Figure Out Food and End Up @ Kwik Trip

Another classic older than time itself.  Argue with your friends over delivery and whatkwik-trip-foodservice-lady-885 (2) different foods you want.  “Oh Chase you want Dominos AND Insomnia? Wow hungry today!”  You’ll do this for at minimum 45 minutes and there’s a very good chance you guys lose track of the conversation and forget you even wanted food.  Lucky for you there’s never a Kwik Trip far from you.  From the hot rack to the plethora of snacks there’s something for everyone.

5.  Fortnite

fortnite.jpgA new addition this year as Fortnite has taken the country by storm.  Lose yourself for hours as you and your friends stare mindlessly at the screen.  Make sure they get in your ear when you’re top ten and they begin to microplay for you.  This one could be risky due to the heavy amounts of downtime in between games.  Don’t pass out.

6.  Stare at Your Phone for Weirdly Long Amounts of Time

Who needs conversation when you have a literal computer in your hands?!  Just spend hours cycling through Instagram, Twitter and maybe Tinder or something.  It’s all fun and games until you stop finding new tweets and are liking pics from five days ago of that cute blonde.  Sick Instagram!  I wanted to like that old ass picture!

7.  Bake Goods With Your Friends

brownieA really fun activity is making baked goods with some of your closest buds.  I personally love making my special homemade chocolate cookies.  Most people turn to brownies and I’ve known people to even make their own gummies!  Some people’s culinary skills are crazy.

8.  Take Long Drives w/ the Boys (or Girls)

This is one for some of the younger kids who just need to get away from their parent’s house.  There’s nothing better than going down back roads in the middle of nowhere , where nobody ever is, with your windows barely cracked and the bass all the way up.  Enjoy the rush of sweating when “that cars following us he’s a cop” talk starts and ride off into the sunset with your friends.

9.  Look @ Your Hands

Holy shit have you ever just looked at your hands?  Just waving back and forth almost in slow motion.  My fingers look like little sausage links.  Woah are they changing colors?  Gnarly.

10.  Smoke Some Pot, it’s 4/20 Kids

Yea yea it’s the holiday that has stoners everywhere grabbing their bongs and wraps and finest greens and oils.  Every year it seems more and more people are participating in the holiday.  Prolly has always been this popular but I guess that happens when you’re older and not going to a Lutheran High School.  So enjoy yourselves, don’t be stupid behind the wheel and nobody needs to be the hero that faces the jumbo cone.  You’re gunna pass out bub.  Stay frosty for the police, those tickets must suck.

Happy Holidayz,

Cover Your Ass 4/19/18

Happy Thursday folks. Last night was fuckin great wasn’t it?! Up over three units is one helluva night and I feel really good about tonight’s games.

Bruins -130 @ Leafs

Boston looks to take a commanding 3-1 lead tonight as they’re in Toronto for game four. After manhandling the Leafs in games one and two the Bruins took one to the chin falling 4-2 in game three. With these odds I feel confident that Boston will bounce back and really put some pressure on the boys from the great white north.

Caps +104 @ Jackets

The double OT had me on my toes in game three but DC prevailed. I’m a huge fan of momentum and the Capitals will have it. Doubling up on the money line never hurts either.

Brewers vs Marlins UNDER 9

Chase Anderson takes his sub three ERA to the mound tonight as Milwaukee hosts Miami for the first of four. Milwaukee comes off their lowest scoring series in recent memory after mustering up only six runs while shutting the Reds out the past two games. Look for the slow trend to continue.

Sixers -3 @Miami

Easy pick. Embiid is PLAYING. This game won’t be close folks. Load this one up I’m goin three units. BOOK IT

Golden State -4.5 AND OVER 206 @ Spurs

After yesterday’s tragedy mixed with what we’ve seen thus far, I expect a big game from the Warriors and the spread is way too close. Sweep incoming.

Cover Your Ass 4/18/18

3-3 Split last night was not a terrible showing for night one being back.  Got only partial help as the Bucks got shitpumped by Boston but managed to smash the over.  Portland is in a whole hell of a lot of trouble now being down 0-2 AND heading on the road. In hockey I was 1-1 as the Caps took game three in double OT.  The LA-LV game was nowhere near the over.  Funny, after I sent in my bets I then saw a tweet from @Covers saying that in all of the games these teams faced off in the over didn’t hit one time, LOL.  Baseball saw my only bet as a winner.  Arizona snagged a 1-0 dub over the Giants in a pitching war.

Houston -10 vs T’Wolves

hardenHouston took game one of the series in a close game.  Thing was, Houston shot 27% from three and that simply won’t happen again as Harden and Co. have a ten point spread to cover.  CP3 was horrendous shooting and had six turnovers.  Expect a big night from Houston.  BLOWOUT

Jazz +5 vs Thunder AND ML +165

So game one was strange.  “Playoff P” went off for 36 and the Thunder won by eight.  Russ added 29 but and Melo 16.  The bench was outscored 34-17 and when the 2’s came in all hell broke loose.  Mithchell is an animal and should be ROY in my mind.  I see the Jazz taking this outright and then covering

Sixers -1 vs Heat

Okay D Wade, we get it ya still got something left.  Prolly not gunna do it again though as Miami took game two.  No Embid still for Philly but that won’t be a problem.  Philly shot under 20% from three last game and that again, won’t happen.  Simmons and the Sixers should take care of the Heat and take back the series.

Tonight the series is in Philly for game four of the Pens Flyers series.  This game is going to be the series deciding game.  Pittsburgh comes in as the favorite and they should be.  Philly is hurting their own players in practice for fuck’s sake.  Also expect a lotta goals tonight.  All three games thus far have hit at least six with the last two being on the nose.  If this hits it’s huge.  Big risk but huge reward.

Wisconsin Sports Report 4/18/18 and 4/19/18

Gunna double up tonight as the Brewers had a day game and there was no Bucks game.  Figured I could knock two birds w/ one stone.  The Brew Crew were great winning a pair of games last night and today to take the series from Cincinnati.  Last night in Boston however, the Bucks got toyed with to fall 0-2 in the series.

Series Shifts Home w/ Buck’s Loss

So many negatives with this team right now.  Minutes are being wasted on players who struggle to make themselves useful.  Tony Snell continues to be utter garbage as a starter horfgiann.jpgand he only was able to score one single time on only three attempts.  He played 22 minutes and managed two boards and couldn’t even get an assist.  We were blessed with Jabari Parker for an exhilarating ten minutes.  For those ten minutes we were some how -15.  Horford bullied the fuck out of him on the block and was a matchup nightmare.  This oaf was beating our guards down the floor on a fast break somehow.

Giannis shot the lights out and dropped 30 as Middleton continued to be hot and added 25 as well as being 4/6 from downtown.  Giannis continueously blows my mind with his play but my god.  If he could ever learn to shoot, it would be the scariest thing the league has seen.   Also he struggled with Jaylen Brown who went off for 30.  Rozier added 23 with eight dimes.

Shabazz Muhammad had an outstanding game tonight shooting four of eight in twelve minutes getting himself eleven on the night.  Please tell me why this guy isn’t starting over Snell?  Anything is better at this point.  Fuckin’ done. Game 3 back in MKE Friday,

4/20 lol

Brewers Steal a Pair of W’s

In an absolute slugfest last night The Crew snuck out a 2-0 win.  Junior Guerra allowed only one hit while striking out seven in shutout work through five and a third.  Sadly, due to a lack of offense Guerra would not get the decision.  It was a scoreless and boring game for the most part until the bottom of the sixth when Eric Thames dropped a two run bomb into the Milwaukee night which proved all the Brewers needed as they would finish the game 2-0.  In relief for Milwaukee, Dan Jennings got the win while only facing two batters.  Jeffress came in with the hold and it was Josh Hader grabbing another six out save while fanning three.

Today Christian Yelich returned from the DL to dazzle us with a beautiful deflection catch in the outfield.  Same shit just a different day for Milwaukee as the Brewers shut out the Reds in consecutive days.  Today it was Zach Davies getting the dub going just over six.  Jennings snagged himself a hold after his win last night and this time it was Barnes who came in and snagged himself a six out save.  Offensively it was weirdly similar as the only scoring, yet again, came off a two run Thames homer.  The Crew took this one 2-0 and move to 10-9 on the season.  Milwaukee welcomes in Miami for a four game weekend series that will feature Anderson, Chachin, Suter and Guerra on the hill.  Miami is 5-12 and are riding high off a 9-1 win over the Yankees last night.

Rodgers is…… pissed…..or not?

So this shit all started when an “anonymous source” from Yahoo Sports reported that Aaron Rodgers was growing angry with a lack of voice in the Packer’s personnel moves.  Well apparently that article can be chalked up to “fake news” as the GB QB took to Twitter responding to an article from the Packers that actually quoted Rodgers on how he only is looking for an extension on his contract not an extension into player movement.  Screen Shot 2018-04-18 at 5.29.55 PM.png

Well I think it’s safe to say that report was false but it’s no secret that the Green Bay front office has not been retaining players just because Rodge likes them.  We did this with Favre in the mid 2000s and it didn’t work and the team went to shit for a few years.  Rodgers said it well during an interview with “The Hog” in Milwaukee basically saying players play, coaches coach and the front office does what it does.  With the draft a week away expect a full Packer draft breakdown coming soon.

Cover Your Ass Is Back 4/16/18

I’m back.  Like fully back.  After taking a two and a half month break from the world of gambling I’m ready to get back on that whore of a horse.  I took it to the chin all fall and slid into the red for the first time in over a year.  But let’s fuckin’ go, let’s pin the ears back and make some money.  Six picks a night now no matter what.

Bucks vs Celtics – MKE +2.5 AND OVER 197

So game one saw this game go to the Celtics and it seemed as though Milwaukee had a ton of flaws that could be easily fixed.  First, Jabari Parker saw the floor for only fifteen

CPE_9825.JPGminutes as Tony Snell played over twice as many minutes and still was -11.  If Prunty is smart he will do his best to get Parker more minutes.  Also, remember that it was only Parker and Bledsoe’s first time having large roles on a playoff team.  These teams were very evenly matched and if this game could get close late, fouls and free throws should push that over.  I like Milwaukee straight up even on the moneyline at +125.  You could unload on this game but I’m gunna stick to Bucks +2.5 and the 197 over.

Blazers -6.5 vs Pelicans

Game one of this series was a fluke.  Straight up because Dame doesn’t EVER shoot 25% from the field.  New Orleans proved their weak bench couldn’t hold leads and it was up to Anthony Davis’ 35 and 14 paired with big nights from Holiday, Rondo AND Mirotic.  Not a chance this goes like last game.  Pressure is on for the Blazers not to fall 0-2 and go across the country on the road.  This one could be a blowout.  Portland -6.5

patcorbinDiamondbacks -135 Moneyline over Giants

It’s Corbin vs Cueto as the Backs host division rival San Fransisco.  There’s a huge stat that sticks out to me here.  The Backs have won eight of their past nine home games with Patty Corbin on the hill.  Johnny Cueto has struggled his past two starts in Arizona giving up six runs in eleven innings of work.

Capitals +120 over Blue Jackets

The Capitals have fucked me time and time again in the playoffs before but with overtime losses in games one and two they head to Columbus down big.  My reason for my pick is momentum.  Washington outshot Columbus last game 58-30.  That’s twice as many shots!  Keeping the puck in the attacking zone will keep the crowd out of it for the most part and should neutralize the attack for the Jackets.

Knights and Kings OVER 5 EVEN

knigthskings.jpgThis game has me intrigued.  In the past I’ve had tons of success hitting overs on elimination games with both teams having so much to gain/lose.  Expect pulled goalies and a hell of a lot of shots on net for both sides as Vegas tries finish this bitch in four.

Wisconsin Sports Reports 4/16/18

Well it was a slow day in the state as we were all snowed the fuck in and were thrusted back into the seasonal depression which apparently now extends to late April.  The Brewers were the only team in action tonight as they got shit on by the now three win Reds.  Milwaukee couldn’t muster a run until a four run seventh inning but by that point it was all over.  Brett Suter started the game and only gave up three of the runs through five.  Then comes in Oliver Drake who, in the corse of a single inning gave up SIX MLB: Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee BrewersFUCKING RUNS!  It wasn’t even homeruns.  Six hits through the inning and we left him out there to just get fucking shelled.  I think we’re gunna need a quicker trigger on some of these bullpen guys because it seems as though, sometimes Craigers could let the leash go a bit too long.  The only entertaining part of the game was Jorge Lopez almost sending one to the seats in the seventh to plate a pair of runners on a double and scoring himself.  Game two is tomorrow as we are throwing Guerra who was dealing last game to face Sal Romano who has given up sixteen hits in his first fifteen and a third this year.

Brewers vs Reds Series Preview

Tonight kicks off a three game set between The Crew and the Reds square off for the first time in 2018.  The Brewers currently sit 8-8 and in their past six they have either won or it’s been a close one.  For Cincy things have been rough as they are 2-13 and have dropped eight in a row.

In a perfect world, Milwaukee should win a lot of games coming up with the Reds, Marlins and Royals in their upcoming nine games.  Those three teams combined for a    9-34 start.  Hopefully the San Diego series is a preview of what we can do to poor teams.
