Eric Thames, 1st baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers, and Aaron Judge, outfielder for the New York Yankees are the two hottest, sexiest ball crushers in the MLB right now. When it comes to smacking dingers to become fan favorites, the public can’t decide who to choose. Maybe this will help.
Eric Thames went to Pepperdine college, in who the fuck cares, was drafted in the 2008 MLB draft, played 267 MLB games in 2011 and 2012 for the Blue Jays and Mariners before getting sent back to the minors, and eventually went to waste his life away in the worst place on Earth…Korea. After hitting 124 homeruns and winning an MVP over 3 years in Korea, he got another chance when the Brewers signed him. He’s hit 11 homers, batted .326, drove in 20 RBIs, and slugged .761 in 92 at bats, good for 2nd, 14th, 20th, and 4th in the MLB. Talk about a comeback.
Aaron Judge was an All-American at Frenso State during his college years, was drafted in the 1st round of the 2013 MLB draft by the Dallas Cowboys of the MLB, New York Yankees, hit a homerun in his major league debut in 2016, and has been starting since. Oh wow, picture perfect life, that’s so great for him, fuckin boring. He’s also dinged 13 homers, hit .333, drove in 27 RBIs, and is slugging .828, good for 1st, 9th, 3rd, and 2nd. Hell of a sophomore season though.
Winner: Eric Thames
The dude certainly passes the eye test. In reality though he’s only like 6’0”, 205 pounds. For reference, I’m 5’10”, 190. How the fuck does the TV make him look so big?
He’s 6’7” and 282 pounds. He’s a monster of a person.
Winner: Aaron Judge
The smooth lefty swing is a thing of beauty, and I swear his uppercut angle is 70 degrees. I could watch him all day.
The guy hit’s the ball harder than the best of them, but it’s a righty line drive swing, doesn’t really remind me of dingers.
For Christ’s sake, he literally looks like Pedro Cerrano from Major League. When he stands in the box, grips his bat, flexes his 39 inch forearms, I actually get scared for the baseball. He also fake charges the mound, I thought the Korean pitcher was 6 foot under already.
He kinda looks like a giant, weird alien. I don’t know how to describe him. He’s tall, but I’m not exactly intimidated. Oh wait, I do know how to describe him.
Eric Thames: 11
Aaron Judge: 13
Winner: Aaron Judge
Eric Thames. I believe he’s the better player all in all right now. It might seem weird considering this is his second chance and has way less potential than Judge, but he’s got the heart. That’s what counts. Give him .300, 41 homers, and 95 RBI. It will be more than Judge.
